WELL DONE HASHERS

A reported 26 hashers made the circle at the Church House Inn at Stokeinteignhead Monday evening in what assuredly were wet and potentially swamp like conditions. You know well that if I hadn't had to have supported Mavis by taking the shorts, I would have been first to the bar some 20 seconds after the hash set off.

Mavis's flour marks from Sunday had disappeared after more sustained rain from midday Monday necessitating a re laying of the trail in trusty Fullers Earth aka cat litter! Originally, the route was to have detoured to Mavis's drum in Rocombe for a RG and drinks stop but Mavis ruled this out due to the weather.
A more detailed description of the hash will follow but well done to those hashers that braved the mud and the flooded sections of Ridge Road - Ridge Racers one and all (classic Playstation game you fools) and I have to admit that I actually enjoyed it ...
Our numbers were swelled in the pub later by quite a few hashers that either couldn't or wouldn't make the run: Winalot and Bogof, Winfield, Pottsie, Flowery, Bin Laden - to name a few from memory.
The landlord (Anthony) was generous in donating 3 pints for the downdowns even though we were well down on numbers.
A good evening and both Mavis and myself were very relieved to have laid a trail in the conditions.
