... it was just as Rambo said - it was still on charge and I had forgotten to put it back in the camcorder. My head torch was still hanging on the bedpost as well ... what a wally ...
Anyway, the lighting on the trail AND more importantly, in the pub was okay and from what I've seen briefly, we can use it. It was fortunate that I had the HD camcorder in the car and that the battery was still charged enough to complete the evening. It's HD and so will have to be doubly compressed and converted which will take more time.
